Author Rudy Wiebe in Leamington, May 11, 2013: Follow-Up

On May 11, 2013, Author Rudy Wiebe came to UMEI Christian High School in Leamington. We hope he and his wife enjoyed their time with us, as those who met them and heard Rudy speak certainly did!

Pastor David Dyck introduced Rudy Wiebe as an author, but also as a long time friend, a volunteer, an active church member, and an entertaining story teller to his children around a New Year's campfire some years ago!

By reading passages from his books, and telling stories of how he has used words and languages to help develop his writing, Rudy Wiebe allowed guests to enjoy and appreciate his unique ability to guide his readers through his creative works.

Victor Winter, after an engaging talk from Mr. Wiebe, thanked the author for sharing his thoughts on words and his use of them over his career of writing.

Cathy Schartner asked Mr. Wiebe to sign his book, Hidden Buffalo.  As one of the Librarians at LUMC, she plans to add this book to the children's section of the church library.

During their stay in Leamington, Rudy and his wife Tena were able to visit and tour in the area.
