New to the museum: Map of Prussia

Thank you to Jutta Rahn and family for the donation of their map of Prussia to the museum.  Since installing it to the wall in the lobby of the museum, many have stopped to look and make connections to their past.  Thank you!

UMEI student project interviews:

The grade 11 students at UMEI recently completed their final interviews with older members of the community.  In a series of question and answer periods this fall and winter, they learned about the history of Russian Mennonites who came to this area.  These sessions included general information, as well as specific stories belonging to the students’ family history.

Students from UMEI learn about history from the people who lived it!
